Server Administrator - Active Directory

Key Responsibilities :

- Directory Services Management : Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD), DNS (Domain Name System), and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) services.

- Virtualization Management : Oversee the management and maintenance of virtualization platforms, primarily VMware and Hyper-V, including virtual machine deployment, resource allocation, and troubleshooting.

- Cloud Services Support : Provide support for cloud services integrations with platforms like AWS and Azure, managing instances and related services as required in a hybrid environment.

- Security & Patching : Implement and enforce server security best practices, perform regular patching and updates, and manage antivirus solutions.

- Backup & Disaster Recovery : Design, implement, and manage robust server backup solutions and contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.

- Automation : Automate routine administrative tasks and system deployments using scripting languages, particularly PowerShell or other relevant scripting tools.

- Monitoring & Alerting : Configure and manage monitoring tools to proactively identify server health and performance issues, responding to alerts promptly.

- Troubleshooting & Support : Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex server-related issues, working effectively to minimize downtime in a high-pressure BPO environment.

- Shift Work : Ability to work night shifts as required to support our 24/7 BPO operations.

Requirements :

- 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in server administration, particularly in a Windows-centric environment.

- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server operating systems.

- Proven expertise in administering Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

- Mandatory experience with virtualization technologies (VMware and Hyper-V).

- Solid experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Windows Server Backup) and disaster recovery methodologies.

- Demonstrable understanding and implementation of server security best practices.

- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

- Willingness and ability to work night shifts are essential for this role.
