Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Wireless Network Engineer with strong expertise in Extreme Networks Wireless and working knowledge of Juniper Mist Wireless. The role involves designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing enterprise-grade wireless networks for large-scale environments. This position requires hands-on technical depth, troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to work in complex customer environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Wireless Network Design & Implementation :

- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise wireless LAN solutions using Extreme Networks (primary) and Juniper Mist (secondary) platforms.

- Perform wireless site surveys, RF planning, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

- Lead end-to-end implementation of wireless projects including upgrades, migrations, and expansions.

Operations & Troubleshooting :

- Troubleshoot complex wireless issues related to performance, roaming, authentication, and RF interference.

- Provide L2/L3 support for wireless infrastructure in production environments.

- Proactively monitor network health and ensure high availability and performance.

Technology & Integration :

- Integrate wireless solutions with authentication systems such as 802.1X, RADIUS, NAC.

- Work closely with switching, routing, firewall, and security teams for seamless network integration.

- Implement best practices for wireless security, QoS, and compliance.

Stakeholder & Documentation :

- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.

- Prepare network documentation, design documents, SOPs, and handover reports.

- Participate in customer discussions, audits, and technical reviews when required.

Key Skills & Technical Requirements :

Mandatory Skills :

- Extreme Networks Wireless (Primary Skill) Design, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting

- Strong understanding of Enterprise WLAN architectures

- Hands-on experience with RF fundamentals, WLAN protocols, and wireless security

Secondary / Good-to-Have Skills :

- Juniper Mist Wireless (configuration, monitoring, AI-driven insights)

- Knowledge of switching & routing fundamentals (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP basics)

- Exposure to NAC solutions and enterprise authentication mechanisms

Experience & Qualifications :

- 7 to 10 years of overall experience in Network / Wireless Engineering

- Proven experience handling large enterprise or service-provider environments

- Relevant certifications (Extreme, Juniper, CWNA/CWNP) are a plus
