Role Overview :
Were looking for a hardcore graphics engineer who lives and breathes real-time 3D rendering on the web.
This is not a typical frontend role you will own the complete rendering pipeline, building high-performance, photorealistic WebGL experiences that run seamlessly across devices at 60 FPS.
What Youll Work On : 3D Rendering & Visualization :
- Build real-time 3D viewers with smooth 60fps performance
- Implement advanced rendering: PBR, IBL, shadows, reflections
- Develop custom shaders (metal, glass, fabric, transparency)
- Create dynamic lighting systems for photorealism
- Build interactive 3D configurators
- Add post-processing: bloom, AO, DOF, color grading
Performance Optimization :
- Optimize asset loading & rendering performance
- Implement LOD systems, batching, instancing
- Apply compression: KTX2, Basis, Draco
- Perform GPU profiling (draw calls, memory, shaders)
- Enable adaptive quality based on device capability
3D Asset Pipeline :
- Work with formats: glTF, USDZ, OBJ, FBX
- Optimize assets: UV mapping, textures, mesh processing
- Build progressive loading & streaming pipelines
- Develop debugging and asset inspection tools
Interactions & UI :
- Build camera systems (orbit, zoom, pan)
- Implement mobile gestures (pinch, drag, rotate)
- Create 360 viewers & interactive product experiences
- Add annotations, hotspots, measurement tools
WebXR & AR :
- Build browser-based AR/VR experiences
- Implement WebXR & AR integrations (iOS + Android)
- Work on real-world lighting & hit testing
Graphics Architecture :
- Design custom rendering engines
- Build shader/material libraries
- Create scene graph & reusable rendering modules
- Develop scalable APIs for frontend integration
Tech Stack :
- Graphics : WebGL 1.0/2.0, OpenGL ES, GLSL
- Frontend : TypeScript, React, Next.js
- Tools : Blender, RenderDoc, Spector.js
- Performance : Draco, meshoptimizer, KTX2/Basis
- Testing & Build : Webpack, Vite, Jest, Cypress
Ideal Candidate Profile :Must-Have :
- Strong understanding of rendering pipeline & 3D math
- Expertise in GLSL shaders (vertex & fragment)
- Experience building high-performance 3D web applications
- Strong debugging skills across browsers & GPU environments
Good to Have :
- Experience with Three.js / Babylon.js
- Exposure to WebXR / AR
- Knowledge of ray tracing / GPU compute
- Experience in 3D configurators / e-commerce visualization
- Background in Unity / Unreal internals
- Contributions to open-source graphics projects
Key Challenges :
- Achieving photorealistic rendering at 60fps (mobile + web)
- Handling heavy 3D models with sub-second load time
- Building adaptive rendering across device types
- Debugging across different GPUs, browsers, environments
