Job Title : Senior UI/UX Designer

The organisation is at the forefront of digital health innovation, health program strengthening, and research & development. Its flagship solution, the Community Health Integrated Platform (CHIP), has been deployed across 70,000+ community health workers in 40,000 villages, impacting over 45 million beneficiaries.
Through CHIP, 5+ million individuals have been identified with high-risk health conditions and are monitored at the grassroots level.
With a funding commitment of ?160+ crore (USD 20M) from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the platform is scaling rapidly to transform healthcare delivery in India.
We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer passionate about creating intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital health experiences that empower frontline health workers (ASHA, ANM, etc.) and improve community health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
User Research & Strategy :
- Conduct in-depth research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points of community health workers and beneficiaries.
- Develop user personas, journeys, and empathy maps to align design strategy with end-user realities.
UI/UX Design & Prototyping :
- Translate requirements into wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Design intuitive mobile and web interfaces that simplify health workflows for grassroots users.
- Incorporate responsive and accessible design principles for diverse user groups and devices.
Frontend Development & Handoff :
- Implement design elements in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Tailwind CSS.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless design-to-code integration and maintain UI consistency.
Visual & Interaction Design :
- Enhance user engagement through UI animations, micro-interactions, and visual storytelling.
- Create branding-aligned marketing materials, training posters, presentations, and digital assets.
Testing & Iteration :
- Conduct usability testing with end-users in the field and iterate based on insights.
- Continuously refine UI/UX for performance, accessibility, and user satisfaction.
Collaboration & Leadership :
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, health program experts, and field workers.
- Contribute to the product roadmap, prioritizing design initiatives that maximize health impact.
Innovation & Learning :
- Stay ahead of emerging UI/UX trends, digital health innovations, and healthcare tech advancements.
- Collaborate with global research institutions (Yale, Harvard, etc.) for knowledge exchange.
What Were Looking For :
- 5+ years of proven experience in UI/UX design, ideally in healthcare or digital health.
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects).
- Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, UX research methods, responsive design.
- Hands-on expertise in frontend development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain and defend design decisions.
- Passion for healthcare innovation, with a portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects (wireframes ? polished products).
