Job Description :
Key Responsibilities :
1. Test Strategy & Planning :
- Define, design, and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex, large-scale distributed systems.
- Develop detailed QA plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Perform effort estimation, risk assessment, and resource planning for QA activities.
- Ensure complete test coverage across functional, integration, and system levels.
2. Test Automation & Framework Development :
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend validation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Ensure test frameworks support cross-browser, cross-platform, and parallel execution.
3. Functional & Non-Functional Testing :
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Conduct API testing (REST/GraphQL) including validation of payloads, headers, and response codes.
- Execute performance testing using tools like JMeter to validate system scalability and load handling.
- Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
4. Collaboration & Quality Governance :
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Advocate for shift-left testing practices and early defect detection.
- Enforce coding standards, QA best practices, and quality gates across teams.
5. Continuous Improvement & Reporting :
- Drive improvements in QA processes, tools, and automation coverage.
- Define and track quality metrics, KPIs, and dashboards (defect leakage, test coverage, execution trends).
- Analyze defects and identify root causes and preventive measures.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
6. Compliance & Standards :
- Ensure applications meet security, performance, and scalability requirements.
- Maintain adherence to industry standards and organizational quality benchmarks.
- Support audit and compliance requirements where applicable.
Required Qualifications :
Experience :
- 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance, including automation and strategy.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Technical Skills :
- Strong expertise in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, and Zephyr.
- Solid experience in API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Good understanding of security testing principles and tools.

- Experience with test data management and service virtualization.
- Familiarity with shift-left and shift-right testing practices.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
