Role Overview :

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of complex OTT platforms and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define testing strategies that bridge the gap between manual precision and automated efficiency. Your daily contributions will directly impact the end-user experience by identifying critical bottlenecks, ensuring seamless cross-platform functionality, and maintaining the integrity of our release cycles in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for OTT and mobile applications to ensure high-quality delivery across Android and iOS platforms.

- Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks to streamline regression testing and reduce manual intervention in the release cycle.

- Conduct rigorous functional and API testing to validate system integrations and ensure backend services meet performance benchmarks.

- Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle by tracking, documenting, and prioritizing bugs to facilitate timely resolutions by the development team.

- Perform performance validation to identify system limitations and ensure application stability under varying load conditions.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to align testing efforts with SDLC milestones and business requirements, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.

- Mentor junior team members on testing best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in both manual and automation testing methodologies within complex, high-traffic application environments.

- Proven ability to test OTT platforms and mobile applications on Android and iOS, with a deep understanding of platform-specific nuances.

- Strong proficiency in API testing and performance validation tools to ensure system reliability and scalability.

- Experience managing the full SDLC, with a focus on integrating automated regression suites into CI/CD pipelines.

- Exceptional analytical skills for defect tracking and root cause analysis, ensuring clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or on-site environment in Hyderabad, maintaining high productivity and team collaboration.

- 5 - 8 years of professional experience in quality assurance, with a track record of delivering high-quality software in fast-paced environments.

- Strong communication skills to articulate technical challenges and propose effective solutions to project teams.
