Senior Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in automation testing and proficiency in Java/Selenium.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating automation frameworks from scratch, maintaining and executing automation scripts, and modifying/customizing existing test automation frameworks.

Core Responsibilities :

Automation Framework Design and Development :

- Architect, design, and implement test automation frameworks from scratch using Java as the primary programming language and Selenium WebDriver for web application testing.

- Evaluate and select appropriate testing tools, technologies, and infrastructure to build scalable, maintainable, and efficient automation solutions.

- Define and implement best practices for test structure, naming conventions, reporting, and environment management within the framework.

Script Creation and Maintenance :

- Develop, execute, and meticulously maintain high-quality, reusable automation scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios.

- Modify and customize existing test automation frameworks and scripts to align with evolving application architecture and testing requirements.

- Integrate automation scripts into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) to support rapid, automated quality gates.

Testing Strategy and Execution :

- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand new features and technical changes, translating them into effective automation test plans and strategies.

- Perform and guide complex troubleshooting and debugging of automation failures and application defects, providing detailed root-cause analysis.

- Mentor junior engineers on automation techniques, framework usage, and best coding practices.

- Generate and analyze detailed test execution reports, metrics (e.g., coverage, pass/fail rates), and present findings to technical and business stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills :

- Excellent automation testing skills via Selenium

- Good hands-on experience in Database Testing, SQL Queries

- Excellent communication skills
