Role :

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in software testing, preferably within energy automation / electrical power systems. The candidate will be responsible for testing cloud-based energy automation products and components, analyzing customer issues, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform component and system testing of cloud-based energy automation products and components.

- Analyze customer issues and provide recommendations or coordinate with development teams for resolution.

- Create test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases.

- Understand business requirements, user workflows, and technical requirements of products/components.

- Design, develop, and execute test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements.

- Set up test environments and execute comprehensive testing activities.

- Prepare detailed test reports and provide test results to project stakeholders.

- Ensure software delivery meets defined quality and project requirements.

- Provide feedback and recommendations regarding software usability, functionality, and quality.

- Collaborate with development, product, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 - 10 years of experience in software testing, preferably for energy automation products.

- Working experience in the electrical domain / power systems.

- Strong knowledge of requirement analysis, test specification, test design, and test execution.

- Advanced experience in test environment setup and configuration.

- Strong experience in functional and non-functional testing of SaaS applications.

- Experience testing AWS-based / cloud applications.

- Knowledge of communication protocols such as MQTT and IEC 61850.

- Knowledge of test automation and automation tools is preferred.

- Experience with UI automation and API testing tools will be an added advantage.

- Basic programming knowledge in TypeScript or Java.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Energy automation / power systems domain experience.

- AWS / Cloud-based SaaS testing.

- MQTT / IEC 61850.

- UI automation / API testing.

- TypeScript / Java.
