Job Description

Senior Technical Lead :

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Technical Lead to join our Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production support, strong leadership capabilities, and a solid technical background in Python and SQL. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and performance of our applications within the financial technology sector.


Key Responsibilities :


- Lead and mentor a small team of support engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.


- Serve as the primary point of contact for critical production issues, leading incident response and ensuring timely resolution.


- Monitor and manage application performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to prevent downtime.


- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate routine tasks, improve system efficiency, and enhance support processes.


- Utilize SQL to perform complex data analysis, troubleshoot application issues, and generate reports.


- Collaborate with development and product teams to provide feedback on system design and functionality, advocating for improvements that enhance supportability.


- Create and maintain detailed documentation for support processes, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.


- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on issue status and resolution.


- Manage a ticket queue, ensuring all support requests are addressed according to service level agreements (SLAs).


Technical Skills :

Scripting & Programming :


- Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.

Database :


- Expertise in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and understanding database schemas.

Domain Knowledge :


- Solid understanding of the financial domain or Fintech industry.

Support & Operations :


- Proven experience in Production Support or Application Support.


- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, Datadog).


- Experience with incident management and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).


- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks is a plus.


Experience and Education :

Experience : A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Production Support or Application Support role, with proven experience in leading a small team or the ability to do so.


Education : Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), or B.Tech with an MBA.

Soft Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
