Job Summary :

We are looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst with strong Healthcare Payer, Business Intelligence, and Data/EDW experience to transform operational healthcare data into actionable insights. The role involves gathering and translating business requirements into data and BI solutions on EDW, Snowflake, and Azure platforms. The analyst will partner closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams to support enterprise analytics initiatives and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Must-Have Skills :

- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working on BI, data, or analytics projects.

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Healthcare domain, preferably with Payer organizations.

- Strong hands-on SQL skills for data analysis, profiling, validation, and troubleshooting in relational databases.

- Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments and modern data platforms.

- Practical experience with Snowflake for data analysis, querying, and reporting use cases.

- Strong expertise in Azure data services : Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake.

- Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and understanding of data integration patterns.

- Experience with Power BI (or similar BI tools) for reporting, dashboards, and analytics.

- Proven experience in end-to-end requirements gathering, documentation (BRD/FRD/Use Cases/User Stories), and change management.

- Strong experience in supporting UAT, test case review, defect triage, and overall solution quality validation.

- Demonstrated ability to work in data-driven environments with EDW, cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake), and BI/reporting tools.

- Ability to work independently in a remote setup while collaborating effectively with distributed teams across functions.

- Excellent communication skills to work with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.

Good to Have Skills :

- Experience with CRM/CareAxis or similar healthcare CRM/care management platforms.

- Knowledge of data modeling techniques such as Dimensional Modeling and Data Vault.

- Hands-on experience with Agile tools like Jira or Azure DevOps for backlog, sprint, and user story management.

- Exposure to additional BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik.

- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks in data and analytics solutions.

- Understanding healthcare compliance and privacy regulations, including HIPAA and handling PHI/PII data.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements from healthcare business stakeholders and product owners.

- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for BI, reporting, and data solutions.

- Perform detailed data analysis using SQL and relational databases to understand data structures, identify gaps, and validate data quality.

- Work closely with EDW, Snowflake, and Azure-based data platforms to support data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers.

- Collaborate with architects, developers, and data engineers to design and support scalable data and analytics solutions.

- Define and document process flows, data flows, reporting requirements, and solution design documentation.

- Partner with QA and business teams to support UAT, including test case review, data validation, and defect triage.

- Ensure solution quality by validating reports, dashboards, and data outputs against business requirements.

- Track and report project status, risks, dependencies, and deliverables to project managers and stakeholders.

- Maintain clear documentation for requirements, data mappings, process flows, and post-deployment support.
