Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Performance-Test Engineer to join a fast-paced telecommunications environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, benchmarking, and optimizing system performance across complex distributed platforms.

This role requires hands-on experience with performance testing tools, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, plan, and execute performance, load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests for telecom systems and applications.

- Develop and maintain performance test strategies, frameworks, and test scripts to validate system robustness and reliability.

- Conduct root cause analysis for performance issues using profiling, monitoring, and debugging tools.

- Analyze system KPIs, logs, and metrics to identify bottlenecks in application, database, middleware, and network layers.

- Work closely with development, architecture, and system engineering teams to recommend optimization strategies.

- Prepare comprehensive performance reports including findings, trends, and improvement recommendations.

- Ensure performance standards meet SLAs, customer requirements, and scalability expectations for large-scale telecom deployments.

- Participate in design reviews to provide performance insights and ensure system-level performance considerations are addressed.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6 to 10 years of performance testing experience, preferably in the telecommunications domain.

- Strong knowledge of performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Locust, Gatling, or similar.

- Hands-on experience in performance profiling, system benchmarking, and capacity planning.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Perl) for test automation.

- Strong understanding of Linux environments, distributed systems, networking, and protocol analysis.

- Experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Prometheus/Grafana.

- Familiarity with telecom protocols (e.g., SIP, Diameter, SS7, 4G/5G architecture) is highly preferred.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Ability to work in a collaborative, agile engineering environment.

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
