Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior System & Security Administrator to manage and secure our entire IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on expert responsible for the end-to-end management of our systems, with a deep focus on preventing security threats, managing advanced firewalls, and ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place.

This role requires working during US business hours to provide seamless support to our international teams.

Key Responsibilities :

End-to-End Security Management :

- Proactively monitor, identify, and mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities across the network and systems.

- Manage and configure next-generation firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) to enforce security policies.

- Implement and maintain security protocols, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.

- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing.

- Lead incident response activities for security breaches, including investigation and remediation.

System Administration :

- Administer and maintain servers (Windows/Linux), network devices, and critical applications.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with security best practices.

- Oversee data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.

- Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades with minimal downtime.

Network Security & Firewall Management :

- Design, implement, and manage firewall rules and policies.

- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.

- Secure network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Experience : 6 to 8 years of proven experience as a System Administrator with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity in an IT company.

Security Expertise :

- Hands-on experience in handling end-to-end security incidents and theft prevention.

- In-depth knowledge of firewall administration, rulebase management, and threat analysis.

- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in managing Windows Server and/or Linux environments.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).

- Experience with security tools (SIEM, Antivirus, EDR, IDS/IPS).
