Job Description


Roles & Responsibilities :


- Administer and maintain Linux systems such as RedHat, CentOS, Debian, and Windows/Mac systems.

- Manage and support databases like MySQL and MariaDB.

- Handle local server management including storage, file sharing, performance monitoring, and backups.

- Manage on-premise and cloud-based Git servers.

- Oversee GoDaddy VPS management, including domains, DNS, hosting, and SSL certificates.

- Manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF) and ensure their proper configuration.

- Administer WHM and cPanel servers including user accounts, emails, and domains.

- Perform Microsoft 365 administration tasks like user creation and license management.

- Manage and configure network devices such as firewalls (especially SOPHOS), switches, and routers.

- Perform regular system security tests and continuous monitoring for vulnerabilities.

- Create and manage system permissions, user accounts, and access controls.

- Troubleshoot and provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and networking issues.

- Maintain and configure LAMP stack components (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), cron jobs, and SSL installations.

- Handle protocol-based network services (DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP) efficiently.

- Perform system reboots and maintenance tasks across Linux, Windows, and Mac environments.

- Maintain solid knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and related IT services.

- Support basic cloud services and infrastructure as required.

Qualifications & Skills :


- Proven hands-on experience with Linux distributions including RedHat, CentOS, Debian.

- Strong experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB database administration.

- Solid understanding of network protocols : DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP.

- Experience managing Windows and Mac systems alongside Linux environments.

- Working knowledge of LAMP stack, Apache server, cron jobs, and SSL installation.

- Familiarity with GoDaddy VPS, DNS management, WHM/cPanel server administration.

- Microsoft 365 administration experience including user and license management.

- Experience managing network devices such as firewalls (SOPHOS preferred), switches, and routers.

- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.

- Basic knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure management.

- Certifications such as RHCT, RHCE, LPIC are a strong advantage.

- Good understanding of Microsoft Office and general IT support.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team
