Senior SQL Developer - Database Performance Tuning

Job Duties :

- Design and implement SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB databases.

- Ensure databases are properly maintained, including backups and restores.

- Manage deployments and ensure best practices are followed.

- Work with the security team to ensure database security.

- Manage database migrations between servers and versions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with databases.

- Work with vendor support on any issues that require their assistance.

- Develop and maintain documentation related to databases.

- Collaborate with other IT team members, including the development team, to ensure system availability and performance.

- Create Change Management Requests with IT and Development.

- Support reporting team members with database queries and data requirements.

- Provide Power BI (and other reporting platforms) support.

- Work with the development team members for AI integrations.

- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.

- Optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability.

- Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI using Power Query and DAX.

- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across dashboards.

- Implement row-level security and manage access permissions in Power BI.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications : .

- 5+ years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.

- Excellent knowledge of database administration, design, and maintenance for SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.

- Experience with database migrations and deployments.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills.

- Ability to work during US Central time zone hours.

- Experience working with vendor support is a plus.

- Familiarity with Change Management processes.

- Experience supporting reporting team members with database queries and data requirements.

- Experience providing Power BI (and other reporting platforms) support.

- Familiarity with AI integrations.

- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.

- Experience in creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.

- Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
