Roles & Responsibilities :

- Design and develop interactive Spotfire dashboards, visualisations, and analytical applications aligned to business requirements.

- Build complex data transformations using Information Links, Data Functions (Python / R / TERR), and calculated columns.

- Develop and maintain Spotfire templates, custom expressions, and reusable components to ensure consistency across reports.

- Integrate Spotfire with enterprise data sources including relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA), data warehouses, and REST/OData APIs.

- Implement advanced analytics features such as predictive modelling, statistical analysis, and real-time data streaming.

- Follow version control best practices and maintain documentation for all developed solutions.

- Define and enforce Spotfire development standards, naming conventions, and best practices across the team.

- Lead architecture design for new analytical applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

- Mentor and guide junior developers through code reviews, pair development, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

- Administer the Spotfire Server environment including user management, deployment, and configuration.

- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot performance issues, and coordinate with IT for patching and upgrades.

- Provide L1/L2/L3 support for Spotfire users; triage, investigate, and resolve incidents in a timely manner.

- Manage the Spotfire library structure, permissions, and governance standards.

- Coordinate with TIBCO / vendor support for escalated technical issues.

- Lead Spotfire platform upgrade planning, regression testing, and deployment across environments.

- Define and maintain the Spotfire roadmap in alignment with business and IT strategy.

- Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet KPIs.

- Conduct demo sessions, UAT walkthroughs, and training workshops for end users.

- Work closely with data engineering, IT, and governance teams to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.

- Act as a technical advisor to senior leadership, presenting analytical insights, platform health, and roadmap updates.

- Evaluate and recommend new Spotfire features, extensions, and third-party integrations to expand platform capability.

Ideal Candidate :

- 1. Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.

- 2. Mandatory (Experience 1) : Must have minimum 5+ years of hands-on TIBCO Spotfire development experience across Spotfire Analyst, Web Player, Business Author, and Server with proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade solutions.

- 3. Mandatory (Experience 2) : Must have hands-on experience with Spotfire Iron Python scripting for advanced interactivity and automation.

- 4. Mandatory (Experience 3) : Must have familiarity with Spotfire Server administration, licensing, and deployment models including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.

- 5. Mandatory (Experience 4) : Must have hands-on experience connecting Spotfire to enterprise databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and SAP HANA.

- 6. Mandatory (Experience 5) : Must have understanding of data modelling concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional design principles.

- 7. Mandatory (Experience 6) : Must have demonstrated experience leading BI/analytics projects end-to-end from requirements to production delivery.

- 8. Mandatory (Experience 7) : Must have proven ability to mentor junior team members and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

- 9. Mandatory (Experience 8) : Working knowledge of at least one Data Function language: Python, R, or TERR.

- 10. Mandatory (Education) : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

- 11. Mandatory (Skill) : Excellent communication skills to present complex analytics to technical and executive audiences.

- 12. Preferred (Experience 2) : Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.

- 13. Preferred (Experience 3) : Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.

- 14. Preferred (Experience 4) : Knowledge of REST API integration, JSON, and web services.

- 15. Preferred (Experience 5) : Experience in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.

- 16. Preferred (Experience 6) : Familiarity with ETL pipelines and tools such as SSIS, Talend, or Azure Data Factory.

- 17. Preferred (Experience 7) : Understanding of data governance, GDPR, and data security best practices.
