Senior Software Tester - API/Manual Testing

Description :

- Own end-to-end quality assurance for the AskTalos SaaS platform.

- Perform manual testing across features, workflows, and user journeys.

- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web applications.

- Execute and maintain API testing for backend services.

- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, sanity, smoke, and exploratory testing.

- Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and impact.

- Validate bug fixes and ensure closure before releases.

- Collaborate closely with developers during sprint cycles and release planning.

- Ensure testing coverage across browsers, devices, and environments.

- Continuously improve QA processes, frameworks, and test strategies.

- Actively participate in product discussions and provide quality-driven feedback.

- Mentor junior testers and help build a strong QA culture within the team.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, BCA, MCA, or BE/B.Tech.

- 3 to 5 years of experience in testing web-based SaaS platforms.

- Strong hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.

- Experience with automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).

- Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, ClickUp, TestRail, etc.).

- Solid understanding of web technologies, client-server architecture, and SaaS workflows.

- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to take ownership, work independently, and thrive in ambiguity.

Preferred (Nice to Have) :

- Prior experience working in startup or fast-paced product environments.

- Experience testing AI-driven or data-intensive platforms.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test execution in deployment workflows.

- Basic knowledge of SQL or database validation.
