About the Role : Senior Software Engineering Manager

The Senior Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading multiple cloud-software programs, managing large engineering teams, and driving end-to-end product delivery.


This role requires strong technical leadership, architectural expertise, and the ability to work in a global product-development environment. The selected candidate will act as the engineering owner, ensuring high-quality software delivery, integration across subsystems, and alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, manage, and mentor a large team of software engineers, owning multiple projects and subsystems.

- Own the architecture, design, development, and deployment of cloud-based software products.

- Ensure deep technical involvement throughout the engineering lifecycle, including integrations and subsystem coordination.

- Deliver multiple software projects simultaneously with high quality, timely execution, and adherence to engineering standards.

- Translate business and stakeholder requirements into detailed system requirements and technical specifications.

- Provide technical leadership in SaaS, cloud engineering, and (where applicable) AI/ML technologies.

- Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and quality assurance.

- Collaborate with product management and senior leadership to define long-term technology roadmaps and strategic development plans.

- Ensure engineering deliverables meet global product standards and align with cross-functional requirements.

- Oversee complex troubleshooting, system optimization, and production support at an architectural level.

- Manage team capacity, resource planning, hiring, and skill development for engineering teams.

Requirements / Skill Sets :

Experience :

- Minimum 1315 years of overall experience in software engineering.

- At least 2+ years in a people-management or engineering-management role.

- Proven experience leading large cloud software programs end-to-end.

- Background working in a global product-development environment with distributed teams.

Technical Skills :

- Strong software architecture and system design expertise.

- Hands-on experience with SaaS platforms, cloud-native applications, microservices, and modern software stacks.

- Familiarity with AI/ML or IoT domains (preferred but not mandatory).

- Deep understanding of development best practices: testing frameworks, automation, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, and performance engineering.

- Ability to convert high-level business requirements into technical specifications and engineering tasks.

Leadership & Soft Skills :

- Excellent people-management capability, with experience mentoring and growing engineering teams.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Ability to lead complex engineering programs with multiple moving components.

- High ownership, accountability, and a strong commitment to engineering excellence.

- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple parallel projects and deliver under deadlines.

Preferred Attributes :

- Experience with SaaS or cloud enterprise products.

- Exposure to AI/ML or IoT-based platforms.

- Experience leading distributed/global engineering teams.

- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
