Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our product engineering team and build highly scalable backend systems powering critical financial infrastructure. You will work closely with Product, Data Science, Compliance, Operations, and DevOps teams to design, develop, and scale customer-facing products, APIs, and internal platforms across lending, payments, KYC, fraud prevention, underwriting, and collections.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in end-to-end product development, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, takes complete ownership of product delivery, and enjoys solving complex distributed systems challenges.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for high-traffic applications.

- Build secure, reliable, and high-performance systems following engineering best practices.

- Own the complete product development lifecycle from design to production deployment.

- Design distributed systems, scalable architectures, and optimized data models.

- Collaborate with Product, Data, ML, DevOps, and Mobile teams to deliver business-critical features.

- Drive technical architecture discussions and influence engineering decisions.

- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.

- Write clean, maintainable, testable code with strong unit and integration test coverage.

- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve performance, security, and reliability.

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining high engineering standards.

Mandatory Skills :

- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.

- Strong experience in end-to-end product development for web or mobile products.

- Expertise in designing scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, databases, and data modeling.

- Experience building highly available, secure, and performance-optimized applications.

- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.

- Experience with automated testing, debugging, observability, and production monitoring.

- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills.

- Experience working in Agile product engineering teams.

- Familiarity with AI coding tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in FinTech, Lending, Payments, Banking, Risk, Fraud Detection, or Compliance platforms.

- Exposure to Microservices, Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

- Understanding of Machine Learning integrations and real-time decisioning systems.

- Experience working with high-scale distributed architectures.
