Position : Senior Software Engineer

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 8+ Years

About the Role : We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on Python development experience and exposure to AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI.

This role is primarily focused on software development (70%), with 30% focused on AI/LLM-based solutions.

The ideal candidate should have experience building production-grade applications, working with different architectures, cloud and DevOps environments, APIs, databases, and solving complex technical problems independently.

Responsibilities :

Software Development - 70% :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable production applications and backend services using Python.

- Build APIs, microservices, integrations, and data-driven applications.

- Work with databases, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.

- Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions.

- Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Work with CI/CD, Docker, monitoring, logging, and DevOps practices.

- Take end-to-end ownership of projects and technical initiatives.

- Participate in code reviews and technical/design discussions.

- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

AI / GenAI - 30% :

- Build and integrate LLM-powered applications and AI workflows.

- Develop RAG-based solutions using embeddings and vector databases.

- Build and integrate Agentic AI solutions and AI orchestration workflows.

- Integrate LLMs with APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.

- Work on prompt engineering, context management, AI evaluation, and guardrails.

- Improve AI application reliability, performance, and scalability.

Qualifications :

Programming & Software Engineering :

- 8+ years of professional software development experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Python.

- Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, clean code, testing, debugging, and software engineering best practices.

- Strong backend development experience.

- Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and backend services.

- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and DevOps practices.

- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.

- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production systems.

AI / GenAI :

- Hands-on experience with AI and LLM-based applications.

- Good understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.

- Experience with Agentic AI / AI orchestration frameworks.

- Experience integrating LLMs with APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.

Good to Have :

- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).

- Multi-agent systems.

- LLMOps / MLOps.

- AI observability and evaluation tools.

- Data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or Data Lakes.

- Life Sciences / Pharma / Healthcare domain experience.

- Open-source contributions.
