Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer / Platform Engineer with strong experience in cloud-native application development, Azure infrastructure automation, Kubernetes operations, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise building scalable provisioning platforms, developing backend services, automating cloud infrastructure, and improving platform reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud provisioning and infrastructure management platforms on Microsoft Azure.

- Build and maintain microservices-based backend systems and REST APIs for automated provisioning, updating, and decommissioning of cloud resources.

- Develop infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Pulumi or Terraform.

- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using Azure Managed Identities and cloud-native security practices.

- Work with Azure services including :

1. Azure SQL (Server, Database, Elastic Pools)

2. PostgreSQL

3. Cosmos DB

4. Azure Key Vault

- Deploy and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes (AKS).

- Implement and optimize autoscaling strategies using KEDA, HPAs, and event-driven scaling mechanisms.

- Troubleshoot and resolve distributed system issues, deployment failures, database migration problems, and infrastructure bottlenecks.

- Improve observability and monitoring using tools such as Datadog, distributed tracing, log correlation, and database monitoring solutions.

- Optimize Kubernetes resource utilization, workload performance, and cloud infrastructure costs.

- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, SRE, Security, and Product Engineering teams.

Required Skills & Experience :

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong experience in backend development using Python.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.

- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Experience building REST APIs and backend platform services.

- Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and container orchestration.

- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform.

- Experience implementing autoscaling solutions using KEDA and Kubernetes HPAs.

- Strong understanding of asynchronous task processing frameworks such as Celery.

- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases :

1. PostgreSQL

2. Azure SQL

3. Cosmos DB

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for cloud-native systems.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Datadog observability and distributed tracing.

- Experience with database performance monitoring and optimization.

- Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.

- Experience designing self-service platform capabilities.

- Familiarity with Alembic migrations and database schema management.

- Experience optimizing Kubernetes resource requests/limits.
