Senior Software Engineer - MERN Stack

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer with 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in programming and development using the MERN stack. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in JavaScript and have extensive knowledge of Node.js and relevant stacks. This role requires a deep understanding of troubleshooting, error handling, and delivering scalable and efficient web applications. You will also be working with RESTful APIs and API communication, while ensuring secure coding practices.

An ideal candidate will also have a deep understanding of AWS and would have worked on Microservices architecture using Lambdas, NoSQL Databases like DynamoDB, and S3 Candidates with experience and understanding of the IAM domain and exposure to AWS Cognito will be given a preference.

Requirements :

- 8 to 12 years of programming experience

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and related frameworks.

- In-depth knowledge of Node.js and frameworks such as Express.

- Skilled in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in complex applications.

- Experience with RESTful APIs and API communication.

- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming in JavaScript.

- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React

- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and their tools.

- Experience writing secure, production-grade code.

- Experience in implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms is a plus.

- Previous experience in using Firebase will also be preferred.

Preferred Qualification :

- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions or containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Working knowledge of modern web security principles and practices.

- Experience in Agile development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and relevant frameworks (e.g., Express.js).

- Build scalable and efficient server-side applications using MERN stack principles.

- Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of applications in production environments.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.

- Integrate and work extensively with RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth and secure communication across components.

- Work with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, and IAM/Cognito.

- Implement secure coding practices, authentication & authorization mechanisms, and data protection standards.

- Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.

- Develop reusable components, libraries, and design patterns for scalable microservices architecture.

- Perform code reviews, maintain code quality, and contribute to best practices and technical documentation.

- Utilize Linux-based environments and tools for development, deployment, and debugging.

- Optional : Work with Firebase for certain application modules (preferred but not mandatory).
