About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Java to join our engineering team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java backend development and should ideally come from a product-based technology company.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend applications using Java.

- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality products.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.

- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design decisions.

- Troubleshoot production issues and drive effective root-cause analysis.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

- Contribute to engineering standards, automation, and continuous improvement.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Required Skills :

- 3 - 6 years of hands-on software development experience.

- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.

- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design.

- Experience developing REST APIs / Microservices.

- Good knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring Framework.

- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL.

- Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, JVM, and performance optimization.

- Experience working with Git and CI/CD practices.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working in product-based companies is preferred.

Good to Have :

- Experience in FinTech / Payments / Banking / Financial Services.

- Exposure to Kafka or other messaging/streaming platforms.

- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP.

- Knowledge of Redis / caching technologies.

- Experience with distributed systems and high-volume applications.

- Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes.

Candidate Profile :
