Senior Software Engineer - Frontend & Backend Technologies

Job Role/Title : SSE

Experience Range : 4 to 7 years

Location : Bangalore

Role Purpose(s) :

- Analyze, design, develop and maintain of IT applications, including documentation and postimplementation customer support

Key Accountabilities :

- Gather systems requirements from customers (internal and/or external) and ensure users sign-off requirements specification

- Provide maintenance support to customers (internal and/or external) by investigating and rectifying reported systems shortcomings

- Analyze requests for enhancements/changes and write amendments/ program specifications

- Update system documentation

- Perform and manage stages of the SDLC and participate in the systems review with Project Manager

- Understand the interdependencies of the services (application, system, network and database) and able to pin-point problem areas accurately to improve overall efficiency

- Design and document system architecture and propose appropriate technologies and tools required to implement systems; and ensure users sign-off design specifications

- Use development tools to develop applications for better productivity

- Develop test cases, conduct load test and tune the performance of systems to meet SLAs

- Deploy systems to production and provide post-implementation support

- Document Users' Guide and Systems Manual

- Conduct briefing and training sessions to users

- Provide technical guidance to junior colleagues in their work

- Keep abreast of technological advancement, emerging standards and new software or hardware solutions that may affect decisions on systems building or enhancements

- Any other duties as and when assigned

Job Responsibilities & Duties :

- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements

- Drive issue resolution and perform integration testing

- Support deployments and mentor juniors

Education Requirements :

Working Experience Requirements :

- Cross-domain experience in both Trade and Port/Terminal systems is desirable, though not required. We provide onboarding and rotation opportunities to help build this skill set.

Skills Required :

- Strong back-end development skills (Java, Spring security, Spring boot etc.)

- Good knowledge in writing the queries and handling the db operations.

- Knowledge of application and web servers is essential.

- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

- Good at debugging and identifying the root cause of the problem.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
