Senior Software Engineer - Backend Development

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop backend services and microservices supporting NVIDIA Omniverse Kit, Create Extensions, USD based pipelines, and simulation workflows.

- Build and integrate Digital Twin data models, scene graphs, and real time synchronization layers.

- Implement extensions using Omniverse Kit SDK, OmniGraph, and Python/C++ APIs.

- Integrate Omniverse with enterprise systems (MES, SCADA, PLC, IoT platforms).

- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Python, Java, and/or .NET frameworks.

- Building secure RESTful APIs and microservices to enable integration between various enterprise applications (ERP, MES, IoT, CRM, etc.).

- Collaborating with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.

- Integrating with external systems and platforms such as databases (SQL/NoSQL), cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), and industrial protocols.

- Optimizing backend application performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale deployments.

- Participating in agile development processes including sprint planning, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

- Ensuring code quality through extensive unit testing, debugging, and deployment best practices.

- Staying current with emerging technologies and backend frameworks to proactively evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies.

Backend Engineering :

- Design and develop scalable backend systems using :

1. Python (Fast API, Flask)

2. Node.js (optional)

- Build APIs for simulation control, data ingestion, and real time event streaming.

- Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data exchange.

Cloud & DevOps :

- Deploy Omniverse services on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).

- Work with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

- Implement CI/CD pipelines for simulation and backend releases.

Requirements for this role include :

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of professional software development experience, specializing in backend development.

- Expert-level programming skills in Python, Java, and/or .NET (C#).

- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

- Proven expertise with database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.

- Solid foundation in integrating with enterprise platforms (ERP, MES, PLM, CRM, etc.).

- Deep understanding of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and cybersecurity principles.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps tools (Docker, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines).

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Exposure to Digital Twin, Industrial Simulation, or IoT domains is a plus.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of AI/ML integration and data pipeline development.

- Experience working with IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC UA) and large-scale data ingestion systems.

- Familiarity with AR/VR, WebGL, or modern front-end frameworks is an advantage but not required.

- Prior experience working on smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0 initiatives, or large-scale backend modernization projects.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
