About the Role :

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer Ab Initio to join our growing data engineering team. The right candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in Ab Initio, ETL frameworks, and Unix/Linux scripting, with the ability to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance data integration solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and optimize ETL workflows using Ab Initio and shell scripting.

- Implement batch and real-time data flows with focus on scalability and performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues across multiple systems.

- Partner with business teams to convert requirements into technical deliverables.

- Lead L3 support and perform root cause analysis for production issues.

- Provide estimates, track deliverables, and ensure timely project execution.

- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.

- Integrate with external systems using Kafka, REST APIs, and MQs.

- Work in a DevOps-driven environment, supporting CI/CD and deployment automation.

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting skills.

- Deep understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and pipeline architecture.

- Advanced skills in SQL with Oracle or similar RDBMS.

- Knowledge of AWS Cloud services for data integration.

- Hands-on with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management.

- Experience with production support in a 24x7 environment.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
