Senior Software Engineer

A dynamic technology-driven company at the forefront of life sciences regulatory affairs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on backend development. The organization provides innovative solutions to clients across globally diverse markets, ensuring compliance and risk management throughout the product lifecycle.

This full-time, hybrid/remote role requires an experienced engineer eager to collaborate within agile, distributed teams covering UK and India time zones.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and deploy scalable microservices that support enterprise-level data processing workflows.

- Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and product teams to deliver new features and maintain high-quality software.

- Conduct code reviews, automated testing, performance optimization, and operational monitoring of backend systems.

- Produce maintainable, well-documented code meeting best practices and industry standards.

- Contribute actively to technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base maintenance.

- Coordinate effectively with remote team members across time zones.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- Hands-on development of B2B web applications for enterprise requirements.

- In-depth experience with AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and more), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Advanced proficiency in RESTful APIs, JSON, OpenAPI standards, and asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp, FastAPI).

- Familiarity with CI/CD automation, Git workflows, Docker, and Kubernetes.

- Expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), database design, indexing, and query optimization; practical knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB).

- Strong background in security controls, authentication, encryption, OWASP, and penetration testing.

- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred & Bonus Skills :

- Experience in healthcare IT (HIS, EMR/EHR) and knowledge of regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).

- Cloud architecture certifications (AWS, Azure) and AI literacy concepts; familiarity with AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot).
