About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SDET with strong expertise in Java, test automation, API testing, and backend validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks and testing backend applications, REST APIs, microservices, and web services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites using Java.

- Develop and execute automated tests for web applications, backend services, REST APIs, and microservices.

- Perform API testing and backend validation covering functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.

- Analyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and automation coverage.

- Validate API responses, request/response payloads, data flows, business logic, and service integrations.

- Test microservices-based architectures and identify issues across service-to-service integrations.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.

- Investigate test failures, debug automation issues, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.

- Perform regression and integration testing for new releases and enhancements.

- Contribute to improving test automation coverage, framework scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

- Participate in code reviews and follow automation and software engineering best practices.

- Collaborate with developers, product teams, and other QA/SDET engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Tech Stack & Tools :

- Java, Playwright, Rest Assured, TestNG, JUnit, Git, CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7 - 10 years of experience in Software Development in Test (SDET), Test Automation, or Automation Engineering.

- Strong hands-on programming experience in Java.

- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and software engineering principles.

- Strong experience in API testing, REST APIs, backend validation, and web services.

- Good understanding of microservices architecture and service-to-service communication.

- Experience designing and maintaining scalable and reusable automation frameworks.

- Good understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, and API validation.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management, and Agile development practices.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
