Role Overview :

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our core engineering team in Bangalore, tasked with architecting robust testing frameworks for our high-frequency fintech platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and quality assurance, ensuring that our financial products maintain uncompromising reliability and security under heavy transaction loads. You will collaborate closely with product managers, backend engineers, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the heart of our CI/CD pipelines. By driving a culture of quality, you will directly influence the stability of our financial ecosystem, ensuring seamless experiences for thousands of users who rely on our platform for critical transactions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable automation frameworks from scratch using Java or Python to accelerate release cycles and minimize manual intervention.

- Architect comprehensive API testing strategies to validate complex financial data flows and ensure seamless integration between microservices.

- Execute rigorous performance testing using JMeter to identify bottlenecks and optimize system latency for high-concurrency fintech environments.

- Champion TDD and BDD methodologies within the engineering squad to improve code quality and reduce regression defects early in the development lifecycle.

- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker to ensure automated quality gates are enforced across all deployment environments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into high-coverage, risk-based test plans that protect the integrity of our financial data.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming in Java or Python.

- Proven ability to write complex SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation in high-volume database environments.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate technical quality risks effectively to both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in designing performance benchmarks and stress tests that simulate real-world fintech traffic patterns to ensure system resilience.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile-driven environment in Bangalore, demonstrating self-motivation and the capacity to mentor junior team members.

- A solid foundation in computer science principles, typically evidenced by a degree in Engineering or a related technical field, coupled with a passion for building secure, scalable financial software.
