Responsibilities :

- Designing and helping in creating the architecture of test automation.

- Communicating and working with business owners to write and implement related test plans.

- Estimating the testing process.

- Developing the testing strategies.

- Checking and reviewing QA artefacts.

- Tracking the new requirements for the project and updating the relevant test cases.

- Arranging the software requirements for the test setup.

- Creating/managing internal test environments/sandman as per the requirement.

- Managing detected defects.

- Identifying and managing proactively the risks.

- Ensuring content and structure of all testing documents.

- Mentoring Juniors in the team.

- Checking for timely delivery of issues, etc.

- Demonstrates excellent process, documentation, team participation, and problem-solving skills.

- Able to work independently with little help, be self-motivated and be passionate about software testing.

- Work with development teams on quicker resolution of module/component defects.

Requirements :

- A graduate/higher degree in Computer science stream.

- 4+ years of Software Testing Experience.

- Strong Understanding of SDLC and the role of a test engineer.

- Strong Understanding of software testing techniques and tools.

- Strong Understanding of Test design, Test execution, and defect lifecycle.

- Strong Understanding of web-based applications and architecture.

- Exposure to mobile application testing.

- Overall relevant experience in Automation and Database Testing.

- Good exposure and knowledge of APIs / microservices / REST API Testing using Postman.

- Good hands-on technical skills.

- Should have prior knowledge of web technologies.

- Should be proficient in one scripting language at least.

- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities.

- Must have experience with GIT, JIRA, and Linux.

- A proven track record testing user interfaces, API and everything downward.

- Should be comfortable with writing basic SQL queries to test data sanity in the database.

- Good data analysis skills resulting in timely decision-making.

- Report software defects in a detailed and efficient manner.

- Self-starter, Independent thinker but a good Team player.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in Selenium Webdriver + Python.

- Knowledge of AWS Cloud.

- Prior experience with any performance testing tool.

- Prior experience of any networking concepts.

- Prior experience in white box testing of Python applications.

- Prior testing experience in Machine learning and AI applications.

- ISTQB certification will be an added advantage
