Role Overview :

We are looking for a seasoned Python Backend Developer to join our engineering team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and scaling high-performance backend systems that power our core product offerings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and data scientists, to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. Your work will directly influence the scalability of our platform and the quality of experience for our end users, ensuring that our infrastructure remains resilient as we continue to grow our market footprint.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable backend services using Python and Django to support high-traffic applications and ensure seamless data processing.

- Develop and maintain secure RESTful Webservices to facilitate efficient communication between our frontend interfaces and internal service layers.

- Optimize database performance and query efficiency within PostgreSQL to ensure rapid data retrieval and system stability for our users.

- Manage and deploy cloud-native infrastructure on AWS to improve system reliability and reduce latency across our global service delivery.

- Implement caching strategies using Redis to enhance application responsiveness and reduce load on primary database systems.

- Utilize Git for version control and collaborative code management, ensuring high standards of code quality through rigorous peer reviews and CI/CD practices.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in building complex backend architectures using Python and the Django framework, with 5 - 8 years of professional experience in software development.

- Proven ability to design, document, and deploy RESTful APIs that are secure, scalable, and easy for frontend teams to integrate.

- Strong proficiency in managing relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, with a focus on schema design and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience with AWS services and a deep understanding of cloud deployment workflows, including containerization and environment management.

- Ability to leverage Redis for performance optimization and session management in distributed system environments.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in a collaborative, hybrid office environment in Bangalore.
