About the Role:

SG IT is looking for an experienced Senior Go Integration Engineer to join our engineering team and work on modern, cloud-native integration solutions. If you are passionate about Go, AWS, event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, APIs, and enterprise integration, this could be a great opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and build scalable integration services and APIs using Go

- Apply enterprise integration patterns including message routing, transformation, idempotency, retry/backoff, circuit breakers, Saga/compensation, and Outbox

- Build event-driven solutions using AWS SQS, SNS, and Lambda, including ordering, deduplication, DLQs, and replay strategies

- Containerize and deploy services on AWS EKS/Kubernetes, including Helm, resource sizing, health probes, HPA, and rollout strategies

- Design and optimize data access using AWS RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

- Define API and event contracts, sequence flows, schemas, versioning, and backward compatibility

- Implement observability using structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and integration SLA alerting

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor while maintaining strong code quality and security standards

- Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, contract/integration testing, load testing, failover, and resiliency validation

- Provide code reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance to mid-level engineers

- Identify and communicate design risks early to technical leadership

Must-Have Skills:

Go:

- 3+ years of hands-on production experience with Go

- Strong knowledge of goroutines, channels, context propagation, error handling, and interface-driven design

- Experience with REST and/or gRPC services

- Ability to profile and tune Go services for memory, concurrency, and latency

Enterprise Integration:

- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and their real-world trade-offs

- Experience with synchronous vs. asynchronous integration, orchestration vs. choreography, guaranteed delivery, at-least-once delivery, and idempotent consumers

- Understanding of canonical data models, transformation, mapping, and domain-based contracts

- Exposure to an iPaaS platform such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Azure Logic Apps, Informatica, TIBCO, webMethods, or similar

- Strong understanding of clean architecture, SOLID, design patterns, and domain boundaries

- Experience with API contracts, schema evolution, and backward compatibility

AWS & Kubernetes:

- Hands-on experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes

- Docker/containerization, including multi-stage builds and image hardening

- Working knowledge of SQS, SNS, Lambda, and event-driven architectures

- Experience with RDS - PostgreSQL/MySQL, including performance tuning

- Knowledge of IAM, VPC/networking, Secrets Manager/Parameter Store, and CloudWatch

AI-Assisted Development:

- Real-world experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar

- Ability to explain how AI tools improved delivery and where they required human validation

- Understanding of security, licensing, hallucination checks, and appropriate AI coding guardrails

Engineering Practices:

- Strong Git-based development and branching practices

- Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar

- Strong automated testing mindset - unit, contract, and integration testing

- Excellent communication skills with distributed teams and client stakeholders
