About Role :

We are seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to lead our software compliance and optimization strategy. You will be the subject matter expert on the mathematical "why" behind licensinghandling everything from Microsoft 365 subscriptions to high-complexity IBM PVU and SQL Server Core metrics.

Your goal is to ensure our ServiceNow SAM environment perfectly reflects our legal rights, translating complex EULAs into automated reconciliation rules that keep us audit-ready 24/7.

Core Responsibilities :

- Licensing Management : Master and apply diverse license metrics including Per Core (SQL Server), Named User (Adobe), SaaS/Subscription (M365), and IBM PVU.

- Contract Translation : Interpret End User License Agreements (EULAs) to configure "Right to Second Use," "Downgrade Rights," and "Virtualization Rights" within ServiceNow.

- Compliance Auditing : Execute and interpret Reconciliation Results. You must be able to defend compliance dashboards and provide "true-up" cost analysis to senior stakeholders.

- Full Lifecycle Governance : Manage the "Cradle to Grave" software journeyfrom Service Catalog requests to automated software reclamation for leavers.

- Content Library Management : Leverage ServiceNows automated Content Library to map raw discovery data to specific products using PMP (Product Model Identifiers).

- Stakeholder Advocacy : Act as the primary point of contact during software audits, explaining compliance gaps and implementing remediation plans.

Technical & Functional Expertise :

Functional Mastery :

- Software Licensing : Expert knowledge of major vendors (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe).

- Audit Readiness : Proven track record of managing internal and external software audits.

- ITAM Process : Deep understanding of the software request-to-disposal workflow.

Technical Ecosystem :

- Platform : Expert-level knowledge of ServiceNow SAM Pro.

- Discovery : Understanding of how SCCM, Tanium, or ServiceNow Discovery feeds into SAM.

- Certification : ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) is required; CIS-SAM is a plus.
