Senior Snowflake/DBT Developer - ETL/SQL

Description :

- Manage the full data engineering lifecycle : architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance

- Design and implement modern analytics solutions using DBT and cloud data platforms

- Build proof of concepts (POCs) for modern analytics stacks

- Develop and optimize data models ensuring scalability and performance

- Implement and manage DBT projects, environments, and jobs

- Write, test, and maintain advanced SQL transformations

- Perform code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior team members

- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals

- Communicate effectively with clients and manage day-to-day technical relationships

Must-Have Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Analytics

- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing & Dimensional Modeling

- Advanced SQL expertise

- 5+ years of hands-on DBT (Data Build Tool) experience with recent project usage

- Experience working with DBT on modern data platforms such as :

a. Snowflake (highly preferred)

b. Amazon Redshift / BigQuery / Databricks

c. Strong hands-on experience with :

d. DBT models, incremental models, and snapshots

e. DBT tests, seeds, macros, and Jinja

f. DBT Docs and deployments

g. Setting up DBT projects, environments, and jobs

h. Experience with version control & CI/CD

i. GitHub / Azure DevOps / GitLab

j. Pull request and code review workflows

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :

- Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification

- Cloud experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP

- Experience with ETL / ELT pipelines

- Exposure to visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker

- Consulting or client-facing experience

- Team leadership or mentoring experience

- Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments

Additional Experience :

- 2+ years of experience in Business Data Analysis

- Experience writing business requirements, use cases, or user stories

- Experience supporting UAT and functional testing

- Project-based delivery experience following SDLC
