Job Title : Sr Snowflake Consultant/Architect

Experience Required : 6+ Years

Time Zone : 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST

As an expert in the Snowflake platform, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize data environments and translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient data solutions.

This role requires a balance of advanced technical data engineering skills and consultative client-facing abilities.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture & Solution Design :

- Design secure, scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and data mesh architectures tailored to specific client needs.

2. Data Pipelines & Integration :

- Build and optimise ELT/ETL data pipelines using Python, SQL, Snowpark, and modern transformation tools like dbt.

3. Migration & Upgrades :

- Lead the migration of legacy on-premises or cloud databases (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, AWS Redshift) into the Snowflake environment.

4. Performance & Cost Optimisation :

- Monitor database performance, right-size virtual warehouses, utilize micro-partitioning, and enforce cost-guardrails (auto-suspend targets, query tagging).

5. Security & Governance :

- Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), row/column-level security, data masking, and secure data sharing.

6. Client Engagement :

- Lead client workshops, document technical specifications, and provide strategic recommendations to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Tech Stack :

1. Education :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

2. Experience :

- 6+ years of experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or data architecture.

3. Core Competencies :

- Advanced SQL fluency, dimensional data modelling (Star/Snowflake schemas), and database optimisation.

4. Languages :

- Proficiency in Python and SnowSQL.

5. Tooling :

- Familiarity with data build tool (dbt), CI/CD pipelines (Git), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical problem solving, and the ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Certifications :

- SnowPro Core Certification

- SnowPro Advanced certifications (e.g., Architect, Data Engineer)
