Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Consultant / Architect to join our team on a contractual/project basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, data warehousing, data engineering, and cloud technologies. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to modernize data environments and design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture & Solution Design :

- Design secure, scalable, and resilient data warehouses, data lakes, and data mesh architectures.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with client objectives.

2. Data Engineering & Integration :

- Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, Snowpark, and dbt.

- Build robust and efficient data integration solutions.

3. Migration & Modernization :

- Lead migrations from legacy databases such as Oracle, Teradata, and AWS Redshift to Snowflake.

- Support data modernization initiatives and cloud transformation projects.

4. Performance & Cost Optimization :

- Monitor and improve database performance.

- Optimize virtual warehouse sizing and resource utilization.

- Implement cost-control measures including auto-suspend policies and query tagging.

5. Security & Data Governance :

- Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

- Implement row-level and column-level security.

- Apply data masking policies and secure data-sharing practices.

6. Client Engagement :

- Conduct client workshops and technical discussions.

- Prepare technical documentation and solution designs.

- Provide recommendations to technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

- 6- 8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Architecture.

- Strong expertise in Snowflake platform architecture and implementation.

- Advanced SQL and database optimization skills.

- Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling (Star and Snowflake schemas).

- Strong proficiency in Python and SnowSQL.

- Experience with dbt, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Certifications :

- SnowPro Core Certification

- SnowPro Advanced Certification (Architect and/or Data Engineer)
