Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SharePoint Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive intranet solution using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SharePoint architecture, governance, and integration with Microsoft 365 services. This role involves collaborating with various departments to build a unified digital front door for employees, enhancing the company's digital presence and improving customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and implementation of a clean, easy-to-use intranet using SharePoint and Teams.

- Develop a main "Home Site" that acts as the front door for the entire company, with each department having its own "Hub" site.

- Ensure smooth navigation and search functionality across the company by connecting all department hubs to the main Home Site.

- Integrate the intranet with Microsoft Teams using Viva Connections for both desktop and mobile access.

- Implement security measures using Entra ID (Azure AD) for secure access and Microsoft Purview for retention, labelling, and audit controls.

- Collaborate with all departments to ensure the project meets business objectives and compliance requirements.

- Develop and maintain a term store taxonomy for news, policies, SOPs, and other content types.

- Create and manage approval workflows for HR and communications pages and news.

- Optimize Microsoft Search with bookmarks, Q&A, and quarterly tuning based on query reports.

- Provide analytics and insights through adoption and engagement dashboards via Microsoft 365 Analytics.

- Automate site request for hub onboarding and provisioning workflows, and manage lifecycle controls for review, archival, and compliance.

Required Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a SharePoint Engineer or similar role.

- Extensive knowledge of SharePoint architecture, governance, and integration with Microsoft 365 services.

- Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Purview for security and compliance.

- Strong understanding of term store taxonomy, metadata schema, and audience targeting

rules.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Viva Connections, Viva Engage, and Viva Amplify.

- Experience with Microsoft Search optimization and analytics.

- Knowledge of branding guidelines and design principles for SharePoint sites.

- .NET Development background (Good to have)
