Description :
This is not a pure development or configuration role.
The successful candidate understands data models, lifecycles, ownership, and governance, and can translate configuration management principles into scalable platform solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and maintain a governed CMDB aligned with CSDM (v4/v5).
- Model CIs, assets, relationships, and lifecycles correctly.
- Define and enforce identification, reconciliation, and normalization rules.
- Implement and manage Discovery, Service Graph Connectors, and integrations.
- Assess data quality, coverage, and impact of incomplete data.
- Support SAM Pro and ITAM, including normalization, entitlements, and lifecycle alignment.
- Contribute to the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
- Define ownership models and data quality guardrails.
- Develop platform logic using Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
- Create dashboards and reports to monitor data quality.
Qualifications :
Required Skills & Experience :
- Strong hands-on experience with CMDB, CSDM, ITAM, and SAM.
- Deep understanding of configuration management principles.
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and integrations.
- Ability to design data models, not just configure the platform.
- JavaScript (ServiceNow server-side).
- REST APIs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and IRE.
- Experience working in complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with CSDM v5 adoption.
- Exposure to OT or non-traditional IT assets.
- Experience with SaaS management and Service Graph Connectors.
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS Discovery, CIS ITAM/SAM).
