About the Role :


We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with a strong background in IT Service Management (ITSM), integrations, and custom application development on the ServiceNow platform, including the App Engine.
The ideal candidate will be a certified professional with excellent scripting skills, experience in implementing complex ServiceNow modules, and the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities :


- Lead the design, development, customization, and implementation of ServiceNow applications and modules such as ITSM, Custom Applications (App Engine), and Integration solutions.

- Develop and maintain complex workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, UI pages, UI macros, and other ServiceNow components.

- Manage multiple update sets, coordinate their promotion across development, test, and production environments while ensuring no conflicts or disruptions.

- Administer and configure MID Servers for discovery and integrations.

- Implement and manage ServiceNow Discovery to automate asset and configuration management.

- Develop and customize Service Portals and user interfaces to enhance user experience.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and propose technical solutions aligned with ITIL best practices.

- Work closely with the QA and Release teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality code and solutions.

- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow platform releases, features, and best practices, and incorporate them into existing solutions.

- Ensure security best practices in scripting and application development, including data access controls and audit compliance.

- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and demos.

- Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide production support.

Required Skills & Experience :


- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform development and administration.

- Strong expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting languages (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes).

- Proven experience in ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.

- Experience building custom applications on ServiceNow App Engine and implementing integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP, Active Directory).

- ServiceNow System Administrator and/or Implementation Specialist certification required.

- Deep understanding of ServiceNow best practices, configuration management, and upgrade processes.

- Hands-on experience with MID Server management and ServiceNow Discovery implementation.

- Proficient with HTML, Jelly scripting, and Service Portal development.

- Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and processes; ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using relevant tools like Jira or ServiceNow Agile module.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

- Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
