Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage robust enterprise-level network security solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in firewall technologies, proxy solutions, load balancing, and network security architecture, along with strong troubleshooting and incident response capabilities.

This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the organizations infrastructure is secure, scalable, and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Security & Firewall Management :

- Design, configure, and manage Palo Alto Firewalls (PAN-OS) including :

a. Security policies

b. NAT configurations

c. VPN (IPSec & SSL)

- Threat prevention features (IPS, Anti-malware, URL filtering)

- Perform firewall rule analysis, cleanup, and optimization.

- Conduct regular firewall audits and ensure adherence to security standards.

Proxy & Web Security :

- Deploy, configure, and manage proxy solutions such as :

a. Zscaler

b. Blue Coat / Symantec Proxy

c. Squid Proxy

- Implement secure web access policies, URL filtering, and data loss prevention strategies.

Load Balancing & Traffic Management :

- Configure and manage F5 Load Balancers (LTM & GTM).

- Develop and maintain iRules for advanced traffic handling.

- Optimize application delivery, availability, and performance.

Security Monitoring & Incident Response :

- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect anomalies and threats.

- Investigate and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement remediation measures.

- Collaborate with SOC teams for incident handling and escalation.

Network Architecture & Design :

- Design secure and scalable network architectures.

- Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure secure deployments.

- Recommend improvements to enhance overall security posture.

Compliance & Governance :

- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as :

a. ISO 27001

b. NIST

c. CIS benchmarks

- Support internal and external security audits.

- Maintain proper documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls (PAN-OS).

- Expertise in proxy technologies (Zscaler, Blue Coat, Symantec).

- In-depth knowledge of F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM).

- Solid understanding of networking concepts :

a. TCP/IP

b. DNS

c. HTTP/HTTPS

- Hands-on experience with :

a. VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)

b. IDS/IPS systems

c. Web Application Firewalls (WAF)

d. DDoS mitigation techniques

Core Competencies :

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

- Ability to handle high-severity incidents under pressure.

- Good understanding of security frameworks and best practices.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications such as :

a. Palo Alto (PCNSE)

b. F5 (F5-CA / F5-CTS)

c. CISSP / CEH (optional but preferred)

- Experience in enterprise or large-scale environments.

- Exposure to cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
