Job Description :

- 4+ years of experience with search infrastructure (e.g. OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Solr, or vector/AI search or Semantic Search)

- Hands-on experience building or maintaining retrieval pipelines and evaluating retrieval quality, including offline metrics and A/B guardrails

- Strong understanding of information retrieval fundamentals: lexical retrieval, semantic and vector search, hybrid retrieval, and relevance tuning at scale

- Familiarity with SEO engineering, content quality systems, or personalisation and recommendations at scale

- Experience applying NLP or embedding-based models to query understanding, intent classification, or query expansion.

- Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and analytics instrumentation (e.g. Amplitude, RudderStack) in a product experimentation context

- Experience working with microservices and/or monolith architectures. The team owns a mix of standalone services and a monolith, and is actively migrating components between them, so comfort operating across both patterns is valuable.

- Experience using AI tooling in your day-to-day workflow, and curiosity about applying it more deeply.
