Job Description Senior SAP Tester / SAP Testing Lead:

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Tester / SAP Testing Lead with 10+ years of experience in SAP testing and quality assurance, preferably with strong exposure to Oil & Gas / Energy industry SAP implementations.

The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing testing activities across the SAP implementation lifecycle, ensuring that business processes, integrations, data, and end-to-end scenarios are thoroughly validated before go-live.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP Testing Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and execute the overall SAP Testing Strategy and Test Plan for the implementation.

- Define testing scope, approach, timelines, resources, test environments, and entry/exit criteria.

- Establish testing standards, processes, templates, and quality gates.

- Coordinate testing activities across multiple SAP modules and business functions.

- Track testing progress, defects, risks, dependencies, and overall test readiness.

- Provide regular testing status reports to project leadership and stakeholders.

2. SAP Functional & Integration Testing:

- Lead and coordinate testing across relevant SAP modules, including SAP Finance (FI/CO), MM, SD, PP, QM, PM/EAM, PS, and EWM.

- Testing covers Unit Testing, SIT, End-to-End Testing, Regression Testing, UAT, Performance Testing, Security testing, and Go-Live validation.

3. Oil & Gas Testing Experience:

- Strong understanding of Oil & Gas business processes is preferred, including P2P, O2C, R2R, Maintenance, and Asset Management.

- Exposure to Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, Refining, Petrochemical, LNG, or Oilfield Services environments will be an advantage.

4. Test Management:

- Develop detailed test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and expected results.

- Manage test execution, defect lifecycle, and conduct defect triage meetings.

- Perform root-cause analysis for critical and recurring defects.

5. SAP Implementation Responsibilities:

- Work closely with SAP functional teams during Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Hypercare phases.

- Validate integrations, support data migration testing, and define Go-Live readiness criteria.

6. Test Automation & Tools:

- Experience with SAP testing tools such as SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, Jira, ALM/Quality Center, Tricentis Tosca, UFT, and Selenium.

- Experience in SAP test automation is highly desirable.

7. SAP S/4HANA Experience:

- Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, Fiori applications, and SAP Activate methodology.

8. Reporting & Governance:

- Prepare testing dashboards, track KPIs (test case execution, pass/fail, defect density), and maintain audit trails.

Required Experience & Skills:

- 10+ years of experience in SAP testing / QA, with substantial experience in large-scale SAP implementations.

- Experience as SAP Test Lead / Test Manager.

- At least one or more full-cycle SAP implementation experience.

- Strong SIT, UAT, E2E, and regression testing experience.

- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.

- ISTQB certification is preferred.

- SAP S/4HANA certification is an advantage.

- Oil & Gas / Energy industry experience strongly preferred.

Vadodara, India OR Lagos, Nigeria.

The role may require collaboration with global project teams and business stakeholders across different locations and time zones.
