Description :

The Senior SAP SD Consultant will lead the design, configuration, and delivery of SAP Sales & Distribution solutions across implementation and support engagements. This role owns end-to-end OTC (Order-to-Cash) process alignment with business stakeholders, ensures seamless cross-module integration, and drives quality delivery through testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Key responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end SAP SD delivery across project phases : requirements gathering, blueprint, realization/configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

- Run requirement workshops, perform fit-gap analysis, and define as-is/to-be business processes for OTC.

Configure SAP SD areas including (as applicable) :

- Enterprise structure alignment (sales org/distribution channel/division, shipping points, plants).

- Master data setup/support : customer master, material master SD views, customer-material info records, condition records.

- Sales documents : inquiry/quotation/order types, item categories, schedule line categories, copy control, incompletion, output.

- Pricing : condition technique, pricing procedures, access sequences, condition types, discounts/surcharges, taxes (in coordination with FI).

- Shipping & delivery : delivery types, picking/packing, routes, shipment relevance, PGI controls.

- Billing : billing types, invoice lists (if used), cancellations, proforma, credit/debit memos, output forms.

- Credit management (classic/FSCM exposure as applicable), returns, complaints, free goods, intercompany sales, third-party/drop shipment, and consignment scenarios.

- Ensure integration and correct data/process flow with SAP MM (availability, procurement flows), PP (ATP/manufacturing touchpoints), WM/EWM (warehouse execution), TM (transportation), and FI/CO (billing/accounting postings, revenue recognition touchpoints as applicable).

- Prepare functional specifications for developments (enhancements, forms, interfaces, reports, workflows) and support technical teams through build and validation.

- Own test strategy and execution : unit testing, SIT, UAT coordination, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking.

- Drive cutover planning (master data readiness, open orders/deliveries/billing, transport

strategy), go-live readiness, hypercare support, and transition to steady-state operations.

- Develop user training materials, conduct training sessions, and create SOPs/process documentation.

Required experience and qualifications :

- 10+ years of relevant experience in SAP SD consulting/configuration with strong OTC process expertise.

- Minimum 23 end-to-end SAP SD implementations (blueprint through go-live and hypercare) in a lead or independent delivery role.

- Strong understanding of sales operations and distribution business processes, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Skills and competencies :

- Strong configuration expertise across pricing, billing, shipping, and order management; ability to recommend standard-driven solutions with minimal customization.

- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills; effective communication with business users, IT, and leadership.

- Structured documentation skills (process flows, functional specs, test scripts, training docs).

- Strong analytical troubleshooting for incidents across SD processes and integration points.

- Ability to mentor junior consultants and enforce delivery quality (reviews, standards, best practices).
