Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned SAP PP Consultant with deep expertise in Production Planning (PP) processes, configuration, and integration within SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments.

The ideal candidate will drive manufacturing process optimization, lead solution design, and deliver high-quality implementations for global enterprises. This role demands strong functional proficiency, cross-module collaboration, and a commitment to operational excellence in digital manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end SAP PP implementations, rollouts, and support activities across discrete, repetitive, and process manufacturing scenarios.

- Design and configure core PP functionalities including material requirements planning (MRP), production order management, shop floor control, capacity planning, and master data (BOMs, routings, work centers).

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define manufacturing requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and deliver scalable SAP solutions.

- Integrate SAP PP with other modules such as MM, SD, QM, PM, and FI to ensure seamless data and process flow across the value chain.

- Conduct detailed fit-gap analysis, solution design workshops, and process mapping aligned with industry best practices.

- Support system testing (unit, integration, and UAT) and lead cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support phases.

- Troubleshoot production planning and execution issues, provide expert guidance, and drive continuous process improvement.

- Partner with technical teams for enhancements, automation, and performance optimization.

- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing across the project team.

- Stay updated with the latest SAP PP and S/4HANA innovations, evaluating their applicability for future projects.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP PP, with at least two full lifecycle implementations.

- Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes including demand planning, production scheduling, shop floor control, and inventory reconciliation.

- Hands-on configuration experience in PP master data, order types, MRP, batch management, and capacity planning.

- Deep knowledge of integration points with MM, SD, QM, and PM modules.

- Exposure to S/4HANA innovations such as advanced MRP, embedded PP-DS, and digital manufacturing capabilities.

- Proven ability to interact with business leaders, gather requirements, and deliver value-driven solutions.

- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with attention to detail.

- Experience with global template rollouts, multi-plant environments, and offshore delivery models preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP Certified Application Associate Production Planning (PP) or S/4HANA Manufacturing.

- Exposure to MES integration, PP-PI (Process Industries), and advanced scheduling tools.

- Experience in manufacturing or process industries such as automotive, pharma, or engineering.

- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid SAP project methodologies.
