Senior SAP MM Consultant

Description :

The Senior SAP MM Consultant will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Materials Management solutions across implementation and support engagements. The role owns end-to-end Source-to-Pay (Procure-to-Pay) processes, drives integration with cross-functional modules, and ensures solution quality through testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Key responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end SAP MM delivery across all phases : requirements, blueprint, realization/configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders; perform fit-gap analysis; define as-is/to-be process flows; and translate needs into SAP-standard solutions.

Configure and support core SAP MM functions including (as applicable) :

1. Enterprise structure and org assignments (plant, storage location, purchasing org, purchasing group).

2. Master data : material master (MM views), vendor/business partner (as applicable), purchasing info records, source list, quota arrangement.

3. Procurement processes : PR, RFQ/quotation, PO, release strategy, approvals/workflow coordination.

4. Goods receipt and inventory management : movement types, stock types, special stocks (consignment, subcontracting), physical inventory.

5. Invoice verification (LIV) : invoice posting blocks, tolerances, GR/IR clearing, 2-way/3-way match controls.

6. Valuation and account determination (in coordination with FI) : valuation classes, split valuation (if used), automatic postings.

7. Special procurement scenarios : subcontracting, third-party procurement (SD integration), intercompany/stocks transport orders, services procurement (if relevant).

Ensure end-to-end integration and correct touchpoints with :

i. FI/CO for valuation, account determination, GR/IR, and invoice postings.

ii. SD for third-party and sales-driven procurement scenarios.

iii. PP for MRP/procurement proposals and production-related material flows.

iv. WM/EWM for warehouse processes, where applicable.

- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows; coordinate with technical teams and validate delivered objects.

- Own testing deliverables : unit testing, SIT, UAT support, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution closure.

- Plan and execute cutover activities including master data readiness, open PR/PO and inventory reconciliation, and go-live checklists.

- Deliver user training and documentation : SOPs, process flows, configuration documentation,

and support transition to steady-state/AMS.

Required experience and qualifications :

- Minimum 23 end-to-end SAP MM implementations (blueprint through go-live and hypercare) in a lead or independent delivery capacity.

- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, and warehouse-related business processes and internal controls.

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills and competencies :

- Strong configuration knowledge in MM Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Invoice Verification, with the ability to drive standard-first design.

- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, documentation, and communication skills.

- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills for integration issues across MMFI/COSDPPWM/EWM.

- Ability to mentor junior consultants and enforce delivery quality (standards, reviews, and best practices).
