Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned Senior SAP Cutover Manager with a minimum of 10+ years of experience and a track record of leading at least 2+ full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations. This critical, high-pressure role is responsible for the meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of all cutover activities for a large-scale S/4HANA Greenfield deployment. The Manager will develop and execute the cutover strategy and detailed runbooks, lead mock cutovers, establish and manage the Command Center, and provide the decisive leadership required to ensure a seamless transition from legacy systems with minimal business disruption.

Job Description :

Cutover Strategy and Planning :

- Develop, document, and manage the comprehensive cutover strategy, master plan, and detailed runbooks for the S/4HANA Greenfield implementation, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline and business objectives.

- Lead and execute multiple mock cutovers, dry runs, and go-live rehearsals, meticulously simulating the transition to validate technical steps, timings, and team readiness.

- Utilize a deep understanding of Greenfield deployment strategies to structure the phased shutdown of legacy systems and the activation of the new SAP environment.

- Maintain clear visibility into cutover readiness, proactively escalating critical risks, resource conflicts, and technical dependencies to project governance and ensuring robust mitigation plans are fully implemented.

Execution, Command Center, and Coordination :

- Establish and manage the cutover Command Center (War Room) during go-live, acting as the central decision-maker and escalation point for all cutover and stabilization issues across global teams.

- Coordinate minute-by-minute execution across functional, technical (Basis, ABAP), and business teams to track the completion of thousands of interdependent cutover tasks.

- Ensure the synchronization and alignment of key activities, specifically data migration final loads, system technical validation, and the implementation of initial business continuity protocols.

- Leverage proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent) and monitoring systems (SAP Solution Manager) to provide real-time status updates and transparent reporting.

Stakeholder Management and Stabilization :

- Collaborate closely with project managers, workstream leads, and senior stakeholders to ensure all parties are aligned on the cutover schedule, risk profile, and go/no-go criteria.

- Demonstrate proven ability to lead cross-functional teams under pressure, maintaining clear communication and decisive authority during critical execution windows.

- Provide expert post-cutover support and stabilization planning, managing the hypercare transition, prioritizing critical defect resolution, and formally handing off support to the operational teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Mandatory 810+ years in SAP cutover management roles, with experience in a minimum of 2+ full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.

- Methodology : Deep understanding of Greenfield deployment strategies and the associated technical data migration requirements.

- Leadership : Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams under extreme pressure and manage high-stakes, time-bound project phases.

- Technical Knowledge : Strong grasp of core SAP modules (especially Finance), data migration principles, and complex system integration points.

- Communication : Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills, comfortable presenting status to executive leadership.

- Tools : Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, MS Project, Jira, or equivalent tools.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Cloud : Experience in RISE with SAP environments or other cloud-hosted SAP implementations.

- Domain : Prior work in the public sector or highly regulated industries.

- Agile : Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies and their application to large-scale cutover processes.
