Senior SAP Basis Administrator

Job Summary :

Key Responsibilities :

SAP System Management (On-Premise & Cloud - SAP RISE) :

- Lead the installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, and maintenance of various SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and other related SAP components.

- Manage and support SAP S/4HANA system architecture on RISE with SAP, encompassing the definition of landscape design, integration strategies, and extension points.

- Execute system copies and refreshes for multiple SAP instances across development, quality assurance (test), and production environments, ensuring data integrity and system consistency.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and perform performance tuning activities for SAP systems to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and stability across both cloud and on-premise deployments.

- Manage SAP transport management system (TMS) and ensure efficient change management processes.

- Administer SAP users, roles, and profiles, ensuring robust security and adherence to authorization policies.

- Perform regular system health checks, log analysis, and ensure proactive issue resolution.

SAP EWM Technical Support & Project Management :

- Collaborate closely with functional EWM consultants to ensure seamless technical alignment with defined business requirements and operational processes.

- Support EWM-specific enhancements, custom developments (e.g., ABAP, Fiori), and intricate interface integrations with other SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, SD, MM) and third-party systems (e.g., printing solutions, automated material handling systems).

- Oversee and actively participate in data migration, comprehensive testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT), and cutover activities for EWM projects.

- Provide expert post-go-live support and ensure ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and optimization for EWM landscapes.

Integration and Collaboration :

- Work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, functional consultants, development teams, and other technical teams to deliver project objectives, resolve complex issues, and ensure end-to-end solution integrity.

- Actively participate in architecture design discussions, contribute to multi-landscape solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP Basis domain.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator with 5-10 years of overall experience in SAP Basis, with a significant portion dedicated to S/4HANA and EWM environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA installations, configurations, and administration.

- Demonstrable experience with SAP EWM Basis administration and support.

- Proven experience with SAP systems running on cloud platforms, specifically SAP RISE with SAP.

- Expertise in SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

- Proficiency in managing SAP upgrades, patches, kernel updates, and support pack stacks.

- Strong understanding of SAP transport management system (TMS) and change management processes.

- Experience with database administration concepts for SAP-supported databases (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server).

- Solid understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows Server) in an SAP context.

- Familiarity with SAP security concepts and user administration.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Experience with other SAP modules' Basis administration (e.g., BW, CRM, PI/PO).

- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for Basis tasks.

- Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability solutions for SAP.

- Experience with cloud-native monitoring and logging tools for SAP environments.
