We are seeking a Senior SAP ABAP FICO Consultant to lead the technical design and implementation of global tax solutions within our S/4HANA environment. This role is a hybrid of technical development and functional business analysis, specifically focused on the integration of the Vertex O'Series tax engine. You will be responsible for ensuring that complex tax processes (SUT and VAT) across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific are seamlessly automated and compliant with global regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Technical Development : Design and develop complex RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) objects using Advanced ABAP within an S/4HANA environment.

- Vertex Integration : Lead the integration of Vertex O'Series on Demand for tax decision-making into S/4HANA, ensuring high-performance data exchange between systems.

- Functional Alignment : Translate complex business requirements into high-quality functional and technical specifications, specifically for Finance and Tax modules.

- Global Tax Management : Support and configure technical workflows for Sales and Use Tax (SUT) and Value Added Tax (VAT) across diverse geographical regions.

- Agile Delivery : Drive project milestones using Agile/Scrum methodologies, utilizing tools like Rally, JIRA, and ALM for tracking and reporting.

- Testing & Quality : Manage end-to-end testing cycles using the Vertex Test Suite, ensuring all tax calculations meet stringent business and audit requirements.

- Project Leadership : Act as a bridge between Business Analysts and technical developers, providing project management support for automotive-specific financial solutions.

Technical Qualifications

- Core SAP : Expert-level ABAP and S/4HANA experience.

- Functional Domain : Strong background in SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling).

- Tax Engines : Hands-on experience with Vertex O'Series integration (highly preferred).

- Tools : Proficiency in JIRA, Rally, ALM, and Vertex Test Suite.

Experience & Education

- Experience : 6+ years in IT; minimum 4+ years in SAP development.

- Domain Knowledge : Proven experience in the Automotive industry and global tax (VAT/SUT) processes.

- Education : Bachelors Degree in CS, IT, or Finance-related field.
