Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled hands-on SAP ABAP Consultant expertise to support customers implementing Vistex products and solutions. This role involves providing remote consulting, occasional on-site support, and working closely with offshore teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions. You will translate functional requirements into technical specifications, develop custom enhancements, and ensure smooth system integration.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Provide remote consulting services and occasional on-site support to customers implementing Vistex solutions.

- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand custom enhancement requirements and deliver technical solutions accordingly.

- Prepare file templates and upload data into the GTMS system efficiently and accurately.

- Work with offshore teams to design and develop interfaces between Vistex and host systems (e.g., SFDC, .NET Middleware).

- Write and execute technical specifications for system enhancements and customizations.

- Develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, module pools, and interfaces as per business requirements.

- Implement enhancements using user exits, BADIs, and enhancement spots tailored to Vistex and customer needs.

- Build and maintain interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs to integrate Vistex with other systems.

- Create and customize Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms for business documents and outputs.

- Conduct quality assurance testing on developed enhancements and business scripts.

- Perform code reviews, optimize ABAP code for performance, and troubleshoot runtime errors using debugging tools.

- Identify and troubleshoot product- and project-specific issues, coordinating with product development for resolution.

- Participate in SAP full lifecycle implementations including requirement gathering, development, testing, and deployment.

- Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with functional teams.

- Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical documentation, including specification documents, user manuals, and training

materials.

- Support offshore teams by reviewing deliverables, providing guidance, and ensuring alignment with project goals.

- Continuously learn and develop expertise on new and existing Vistex products and solutions.

- Work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

- Communicate effectively with diverse teams, ensuring smooth collaboration across onshore and offshore units.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Hands-on experience with ABAP programming, including reports, module pools, and enhancements.

- Experience with SAP full lifecycle implementation projects.

- Proficient in ABAP Objects (Object-Oriented ABAP) and Data Dictionary objects.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

- Ability to quickly learn new software and work with integration platforms such as SFDC and .NET Middleware.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with offshore teams and stakeholders.

- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Commitment to collaborate effectively with offshore teams on project and product-related tasks.
