Reporting To : Project Manager SAP Landscape (Sapours)

Location : Bangalore, India

Employment Type : Full-time (or use "Permanent/Contract" if that fits Sapours' model)

Role Overview :

- The consultant will be responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and optimization of SAP custom solutions across modules including SD, MM, FICO, and Fiori/UI5 in the S/4HANA 2307 environment.

- This role is critical to ensuring the technical integrity of Sapours' client's global SAP landscape spanning various geographies (e.g., India, Dubai, and Africa), with strong collaboration across functional, Basis, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, enhancements, reports, and interfaces across multiple modules.

- Lead ABAP development for S/4HANA upgrades (e.g., S/4HANA 1709 2307), including code remediation, simplification, and adaptation to new data models.

- Develop and maintain Reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and ALV reports.

- Create and enhance user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, and Enhancement Points as per business requirements.

- Support integration development (IDoc, RFC, BDC, BAPI, and OData) for Fiori, external systems, and middleware interfaces.

- Work closely with Functional Consultants (SD, FICO, MM, PP, Fiori) to translate functional specifications into robust technical solutions.

- Perform code review, performance tuning, and optimization for existing custom developments.

- Ensure coding standards, documentation, and transport management practices are followed.

- Support Fiori/UI5 app backend integration (OData service creation and consumption).

- Conduct impact analysis, testing, and validation during upgrades or enhancement projects.

- Provide production support and resolve incidents or performance issues within SLAs.

- Mentor junior developers and enforce SAP ABAP development best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

Hands-on expertise in :

- Classical and Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP)

- SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and ALV Grids

- BADI/BAPI/Enhancement Framework

- IDocs, RFC, and Proxy-based integration

- ABAP CDS Views and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)

- Strong knowledge of OData service development and backend support for SAP Fiori/UI5 apps.

- Experience with S/4HANA simplification items, Universal Journal (ACDOCA), and New Data Models.

- Working experience with transport management (CTS+), debugging, and performance optimization.

- Familiarity with SAP Data Dictionary, table structures, and HANA-specific programming

techniques.

- Experience in cross-module integration (FICO, SD, MM, PP) and technical design

documentation (TDDs).

- Ability to analyze complex custom objects during upgrades and suggest simplification or

replacements.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP Certified Development Associate ABAP for SAP S/4HANA preferred.

- Experience working in global multi-company, multi-currency SAP environments.

- Exposure to interface development using BTP, REST APIs, or SAP Cloud Integration (SCI).

- Experience in data migration using LSMW, BODS, or ABAP-based tools.

- Knowledge of Git-enabled Change and Transport System (gCTS) is an added advantage.
