Role : Sr. SAP ABAP Consultant

Location : Mumbai / Pune

Shift Timings : 11.30 AM to 8.30 PM

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Consultant with 4 to 5 years of experience, including expertise in S/4HANA (RISE or GROW) environments. The ideal candidate will have worked on 23 end-to-end implementations and 34 support projects, with the ability to lead a team of developers and coordinate with functional and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and enhance custom programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms (RICEFW) in SAP S/4HANA.

- Lead ABAP development tasks during full lifecycle implementations and support projects.

- Collaborate with functional consultants (SD, MM, FI, PP) to translate requirements into technical specifications.

- Perform code reviews, enforce quality standards, and guide junior team members.

- Work on performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting of custom developments.

- Coordinate with BASIS, Fiori, and integration teams for deployment and transport activities.

- Manage work allocation, ensure timely delivery, and maintain project documentation.

Must-Have Skills :

- Core ABAP Reports, Forms, BDC, BAPI, BADI, Enhancements

- S/4HANA ABAP CDS Views, AMDP, OData, New Syntax

- 2 to 3 Implementations & 3 to 4 Support Projects

- Task Allocation, Code Review, Mentoring for Junior

- SAP Product Knowledge Strong understanding of SAP architecture, modules, and integration points

- Cross-Module Coordination SD, MM, FI, PP

Good to Have :

- Exposure to Fiori/UI5 developments and SAP BTP

- Knowledge of SAP Workflows, ALE/IDOC, and integration scenarios

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools

- SAP Certification in ABAP or S/4HANA Development (optional)

Key skills required :

- Strong ABAP Development Skills : Reports, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, Enhancements, User Exits, BAPIs, BADIs, ALV, BDC, RFCs, and OData Services.

- S/4HANA Experience : Knowledge of RISE with SAP / GROW with SAP projects, including CDS views, AMDP, and modern ABAP practices.

- Implementation & Support Experience : Hands-on in 2 to 3 S/4HANA implementations and 3 to 4 support projects with strong debugging and issue-resolution capabilities.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Ability to work with SD, MM, FI, PP teams and understand end-to-end business processes.

- Team Leadership : Experience in leading small development teams, assigning tasks, mentoring, and reviewing deliverables.

- SAP Product Knowledge : Strong understanding of SAP architecture, modules, and integration points CPI, BTP

Education qualification :

- Bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
